InvestGDA – Who We Are?
InvestGDA, or the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency, is the City of Gdańsk’s strategic partner in economic development, investment attraction, and support for innovative sectors of the future. The company’s mission is to create favorable conditions for conducting and growing business activities in Gdańsk.
InvestGDA pursues this mission through comprehensive commercialization of investment areas, economic and investment advisory services, co-organization of business events and economic missions, as well as support for key development processes of the city and region. Operating in the heart of Pomerania, InvestGDA connects local potential with global ambitions, fostering lasting partnerships between local government, business, academia, and international institutions.
Through the Gdańsk Foundation for Economic Development, the company is also actively involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives — supporting the local labor market, education, culture, and social projects. InvestGDA is a modern, open, and professional organization that helps shape Gdańsk’s image as a city friendly to both investment and people.

1st Baltic Chess Tournament
On the 20th of July 2021, on the national day of chess, Baltic Chess Tournament took place on Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk. The event was organized under honorary patronage of the Mayor of Gdańsk and Polish Chess Federation. “Game of Kings” is rising in popularity among people of all ages, helping to develop strategic thinking, concentration and improving mathematical skills. The values of this sport goes hand in hand with our company’s DNA, that’s why InvestGDA became the main partner of the tournament.

Arena Kultury – Mazolewski/ Możdżer concert
On the 10th of July 2021 jazz live music could be heard in the bowl of Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk. On the stage located on the pitch with the stadiums stands around covered with light illuminations, Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet and Leszek Możdżer have performed. The musical event in this unusual setting was a part of Arena of Culture project, of which InvestGDA is a partner.

Sport Summer
On the 27th of June 2021 on the outskirts of Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium summertime inaugurated with an open event for the the residents of both Letnica district and Gdańsk. During Sport Summer festival participants could take part in workshops with professional dance instructors, animators and play on bouncy castles. The side events to the festival consisted of a Food Truck festival and EURO 2020 games broadcasts in the fan zone.

InvestGDA CUP 2020
On September 6 2020, the first professional football tournament InvestGDA CUP for children born in 2010 and 2012, took place in the Gdańsk Stadium. The event was a joint initiative of the Pomeranian Football Association, InvestGDA and Arena Gdańsk Operator. A total of 16 teams competed on smaller pitches arranged within the main stadium arena –12 boys’ and 4 girls’ teams. The main purpose of the tournament was to promote and support young football talents and encourage fair play attitudes among the youth. The team spirit and bravery of young players matched the qualities of professionals playing in European Championships or World Cups. The best boys’ team was the one organized by the Lechia Gdańsk football school, while the winner among the girls was the Lotos Gdańsk Football Academy. The event was organized under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.

#MealForTheEffort
Gdańsk Economic Development Foundation, which operates under InvestGDA, together with its Partners, came up with an initiative to counter the difficult situation caused by the pandemic in spring 2020. The initiative was referred to as #PosiłekZaWysiłek, which can be freely translated as #MealForTheEffort,had a double purpose – first of all, it was organized to help restaurant employees in Gdańsk keep their jobs, and secondly, it was designed to support health care staff and the elderly inhabitants of the city. For one month local restaurant owners prepared 100 hot meals a day, which were then distributed among specific health care institutions and elderly people. The initiative was a great success, also thanks to the support received from involved donors – local entrepreneurs and business environment institutions. Thank you for being with us.

Safety comes first
In summer 2020 a holiday initiative known as the Weekend Activity Zone was organized for the inhabitants of Gdańsk – children, families, groups of friends and all those who appreciate outdoor activities. Under this initiative,joint enterprise of InvestGDA and Gdańsk Stadium organized a festival promoting children’s health and safety. The program included: professional rescue shows, trainings for children in proper behavior on the road and first-aid workshops. The event was organized under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk. A number of municipal and educational institutions undertook to support it.

A Square Meal
As a Partner of this initiative, launched in December 2020, InvestGDA decided to address the needs of the local inhabitants and institutions particularly affected by the pandemic and the related crisis. The Dobre RozDANIE initiative is part of a larger campaign known as Gdańsk Pomaga (Gdańsk Helps), which was launched in March and offers support by providing more than 2000 hot meals for the inhabitants of our city each day. The food is distributed to the elderly and families with children whose financial situation considerably deteriorated in the wake of the pandemic.

#TimeForGdańsk
It’s always Time for Gdańsk. In 2020 InvestGDA entered into collaboration with the Gdańsk Tourist Organization (Visit Gdańsk) to organize a promotional campaign with a view of encouraging people to visit and explore our city. The purpose of this initiative was to present the opportunities offered by Gdańsk, its tourist attractions as well as business and investment potential. As a Partner involved in publishing a series of business-related articles on national information websites, InvestGDA had the opportunity to support the development of the local business, tourism and leisure industry.
